Middle School students visit the nationally recognized creative writing center in Portland to explore the power of creative expression.
KHS Concert Band, Wind Ensemble and Chamber Choir travel to an international music festival in NYC.
Kindergarten students receive weekly yoga classes for six weeks. Yoga has been shown to support self-expression, expand imagination and increase concentration.
Supporting the KHS STEM teachers as they seek to increase the availability of this highly creative technology for students. New classes include AutoCAD 3D Print, drafting and pre-engineering.
Every year in October the 7th Grade students have the opportunity to attend the week-long Leadership School at Camp Kieve. Here they learn team building, decision making, communication skills and self-development practices.
The Julia Robinson Math Festival is a celebration of math attended by all Elementary school students. The event features mathematical challenges, puzzles and other activities in a non-competitive setting.

Here’s what left a lasting impression. After just three days a new friend could feel like an old friend. I learned that I could climb a telephone pole blindfolded. We learned that we weren’t alone, we were in this middle school thing together."
